Upcoming Release: "Forged"

I’ve been working on a new song called “Folded Steel.” It’s a reflection on a process I didn’t understand while I was inside of it.

The song is built around the way Damascus steel is made. Not as a metaphor for toughness really, but more for endurance. Steel doesn’t become strong because it survives heat once. It becomes strong because it is heated, folded, struck, cooled, and then put back into the fire again. Over and over. Often after it already looks finished.

That idea has stayed with me for a long time on how it relates to the refinement process we all go through.

There are seasons where you genuinely believe you’re through the refining. You’ve learned the lesson. You’ve paid the cost. The edges look straight so straight. The surface looks clean. And then life applies pressure again, right where you felt whole. It's not like its anger or punishment or anything. But because there’s still strength being built underneath what’s visible.

This song came out of that realization.

“Folded Steel” is about recognizing that some kinds of strength only exist after being split open. Some clarity only comes after what you trusted gets folded back on itself. And some faith is learned only by staying under the hammer long enough to trust the hands holding it.

The lyrics reflect that journey. The heat. The breaking. The patience in the process. The quiet understanding that God knows what will last long before we do.

I’m sharing the lyrics here as they stand right now because this song matters to me. Not as a performance, but as a record of something real. If you’ve ever thought you were finished only to find yourself tested again, this one is for you.

More details on the release coming soon. Ill share an experience I had that set the tone of this song. A situation I felt was one of the "breaking" moments that split me in two and put me back in the fire.
