Faith in Christ Jesus

Jesus — Jehovah saves; Christ — the Anointed One

For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 3:13

Serving faithfully in the Church builds confidence in the faith centered in Christ.

How we know: the verse itself names Him

God Manifest in the Flesh

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. 1 Timothy 3:16

This early Christian hymn summarizes Jesus' mission: the God of Israel came to earth in a body, was vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, and preached and believed on everywhere.

Received Up into Glory
