The light promised to David's line (Son of David)

Yet the LORD would not destroy Judah for David his servant’s sake, as he promised him to give him alway a light, and to his children. 2 Kings 8:19
Even under a wicked king, the LORD keeps Judah alive because He promised David a light that would never go out. That promise is fulfilled in Jesus Christ, the Son of David, whose kingdom has no end.
