Law of Moses pointing to Christ

And we did observe to keep the judgments, and the statutes, and the commandments of the Lord in all things, according to the law of Moses. 2 Nephi 5:10

The Nephites kept the law of Moses, which the Book of Mormon teaches was a type pointing their souls to Christ. They kept it while looking forward to Him.

Liahona

Nephi carries the Liahona to the new land. Alma later declares it a type: as the compass led Lehi to the promised land, the words of Christ lead us to eternal life.

Jehovah

The Lord God who speaks to Nephi and wants His people to remember Him is Jehovah, the premortal Christ.
