Acts 14

Grace

Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands. Acts 14:3

In Acts, 'the Lord' who works through the apostles is the risen Jesus. He backs up the message of His grace by giving His servants power to do miracles in His name.

Faith in Christ

And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed. Acts 14:23

After ordaining elders, Paul and Barnabas entrusted the new branches to the Lord Jesus, the one the members had put their faith in. The Church's safety rests on Christ, not on the missionaries.
