Alma 8

Jehovah, giver of the statutes

And behold, I am sent to command thee that thou return to the city of Ammonihah, and preach again unto the people of the city; yea, preach unto them. Yea, say unto them, except they repent the Lord God will destroy them. Alma 8:16–17

The angel speaks for the Lord, the one who gave His people their statutes and commandments. That Lawgiver is Jehovah, the premortal Christ.

I was an hungred and ye fed me

And now, Amulek, because thou hast fed me and taken me in, thou art blessed; for I was an hungered, for I had fasted many days. Alma 8:26

Alma's words echo the Savior's teaching that whoever feeds the hungry and takes in the stranger does it unto Him. Amulek blesses his house by receiving the Lord's servant.

Jehovah

And the word came to Alma, saying: Go; and also say unto my servant Amulek, go forth and prophesy unto this people, saying—Repent ye, for thus saith the Lord, except ye repent I will visit this people in mine anger; yea, and I will not turn my fierce anger away. Alma 8:29

The word of the Lord comes directly to Alma, calling Amulek 'my servant.' The Lord who speaks to His prophets in the Book of Mormon is Jehovah, the premortal Christ.
