Redeemer
There was a little city, and few men within it; and there came a great king against it, and besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it: Ecclesiastes 9:14–15
A poor, wise man saves a whole city from a great enemy, yet no one remembers him. Christian readers have seen here a quiet picture of Jesus, who came in poverty, delivered us from the great enemy, and was despised and forgotten by many. The text itself is a wisdom parable, so this is a soft echo, not a declared type.
