Grace
And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre. Esther 5:2
By law anyone who came to the king uncalled would die unless he held out the sceptre (Esther 4:11). The picture of a condemned person being allowed to draw near and live echoes how, through Jesus Christ, we can approach God's throne and receive mercy. It is a soft allusion, not a stated type.
