Jehovah, God of Israel

LORD God of Israel — Jehovah, the covenant God of Israel

And said, O LORD God of Israel, why is this come to pass in Israel, that there should be to day one tribe lacking in Israel? Judges 21:3

The people weep before the house of God and cry out to the LORD God of Israel over a broken family of tribes. The God of Israel they pray to is Jehovah, the premortal Jesus Christ.

Sacrifice as a similitude of Christ

And it came to pass on the morrow, that the people rose early, and built there an altar, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. Judges 21:4

Grieving over a tribe nearly lost, Israel builds an altar and offers burnt and peace offerings. Scripture declares such offerings a similitude of the sacrifice of the Only Begotten, so even here the altar points to Christ.
