Leviticus 27

Jehovah

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Leviticus 27:1–2

Jehovah, the premortal Christ, gives Moses these laws about vows and offerings.

Firstborn

Firstborn — the one holding the birthright, belonging wholly to God

Only the firstling of the beasts, which should be the LORD’s firstling, no man shall sanctify it; whether it be ox, or sheep: it is the LORD’s. Leviticus 27:26

The firstborn animals already belonged to the LORD and were offered in sacrifice. Moses 5 teaches that offering the firstlings is a likeness of the sacrifice of the Only Begotten, so this firstling points to Jesus Christ, the Firstborn of the Father, who fully belonged to God and was offered for us.

Jehovah

These are the commandments, which the LORD commanded Moses for the children of Israel in mount Sinai. Leviticus 27:34

The Lawgiver at Sinai is Jehovah, whom the Book of Mormon identifies as Jesus Christ.
