Moroni 9

Trust in Christ

But behold, my son, I recommend thee unto God, and I trust in Christ that thou wilt be saved; and I pray unto God that he will spare thy life, to witness the return of his people unto him, or their utter destruction; for I know that they must perish except they repent and return unto him. Moroni 9:22

Surrounded by a nation he cannot even pray for, Mormon places his hope for his son's salvation in Christ.

My son, be faithful in Christ; and may not the things which I have written grieve thee, to weigh thee down unto death; but may Christ lift thee up, and may his sufferings and death, and the showing his body unto our fathers, and his mercy and long-suffering, and the hope of his glory and of eternal life, rest in your mind forever. Moroni 9:25

Instead of being crushed by the evil around him, Moroni is to let Christ lift him up by keeping Christ's suffering, death, mercy, and glory always in mind.

Showing His body unto our fathers

Sitting on the right hand of His power

Mormon ends with a blessing in the grace of the Father and of the Lord Jesus Christ, who reigns at the Father's right hand until everything is made subject to Him.
