Jehovah — the covenant God of Israel, the premortal Christ
And they did humble themselves even in the depths of humility; and they did cry mightily to God; yea, even all the day long did they cry unto their God that he would deliver them out of their afflictions. Mosiah 21:14–15
The Lord who hears His humbled people crying in bondage and slowly eases their burdens is the covenant God of Israel, whom Latter-day Saints know as the premortal Christ. Hearing them 'slow' fulfills what He said through Abinadi.
