Psalms 109

David as a type of Christ

For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue. Psalms 109:2–5

The innocent sufferer who is hated for his love and answers with prayer is a picture of Jesus, who was accused by lying witnesses and prayed even for those who crucified Him.

Christ betrayed (Judas)

Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand. Psalms 109:6–8

Peter taught that the Holy Ghost spoke through David about Judas, who betrayed Jesus, and used this verse to call a new apostle to take Judas's place.

Crucifixion

I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they shaked their heads. Psalms 109:25

The sufferer is mocked with shaking heads, which is exactly how the passersby treated Jesus on the cross.

Jehovah

Help me, O LORD my God: O save me according to thy mercy: Psalms 109:26–27

The sufferer trusts Jehovah to save him so everyone will see the LORD's hand. Jehovah is the premortal Christ.

How we know: Jehovah is the premortal Christ (Abraham 1:16; D&C 110:3–4)

Advocate

For he shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those that condemn his soul. Psalms 109:31

The LORD stands beside the poor to defend them from those who condemn them, the role Jesus Christ fills as our Advocate with the Father.
