He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion. Psalms 111:4–5
Jehovah, gracious and compassionate, fed Israel and keeps His covenant. That covenant God is the premortal Christ.
How we know: Jehovah is the premortal Christ (Abraham 1:16; D&C 110:3–4)
He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name. Psalms 111:9
God sending redemption to His people was finally fulfilled when He sent Jesus Christ. Zacharias praised God in almost these words when John the Baptist was born to prepare the way.
