Great High Priest

Joshua — 'Jehovah saves'; the Hebrew form of the name Jesus

Then take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the head of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest; Zechariah 6:11

A high priest named Joshua (the same name as Jesus) is crowned like a king. No priest in Israel wore a royal crown, so this acted-out sign points to Jesus, who is both our High Priest and our King.

The Branch

The Branch — the shoot from David's family tree; the Messiah growing from a humble root

And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD: Zechariah 6:12–13

The BRANCH is a title of the Messiah, the descendant of David. He grows up from a lowly place, builds the true temple, bears the glory, and uniquely unites king and priest on one throne — fulfilled in Jesus Christ.
