Jehovah

Baalperazim — 'Lord of breakings through'

And David enquired of God, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? And wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto him, Go up; for I will deliver them into thine hand. 1 Chronicles 14:10–11

Jehovah, the premortal Christ, answers David's prayer in His own voice and breaks through his enemies 'like the breaking forth of waters.' David names the place for the Lord who breaks through, an image Micah later uses for the Lord who goes before His people.

Therefore David enquired again of God; and God said unto him, Go not up after them; turn away from them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees. 1 Chronicles 14:14–15

The God who answers David is the LORD of verse 10, Jehovah, and He promises to march out ahead of David's army. The premortal Christ leads the battle personally, just as He goes before His people in every age.
