David as type of Christ the King
So David reigned over all Israel, and executed judgment and justice among all his people. 1 Chronicles 18:14
David ruling all Israel with judgment and justice is the picture the prophets used for the coming King from David's line. Jeremiah says the Branch of David will 'execute judgment and justice in the earth', which is Jesus Christ.
