Son of David (royal line)

And these were born unto him in Jerusalem; Shimea, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon, four, of Bathshua the daughter of Ammiel: 1 Chronicles 3:5

Two of these sons of David, Solomon and Nathan, carry the two Gospel genealogies of Jesus. Christ is called the Son of David because He came from this family.
