Day of the Lord Jesus

To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. 1 Corinthians 5:5

Passover Lamb

Passover — the destroying angel passed over the homes marked by the lamb's blood

Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: 1 Corinthians 5:7–8

Paul plainly says Christ is our Passover lamb. As the lamb's blood saved Israel from death in Egypt, Christ's sacrifice saves us; and as Israel cleared out all leaven for the feast, we are to clear sin out of our lives.
