Good Shepherd

And he said, I saw all Israel scattered upon the hills, as sheep that have not a shepherd: and the LORD said, These have no master: let them return every man to his house in peace. 1 Kings 22:17

Micaiah sees Israel leaderless and scattered once its king falls. Jesus later looks on the multitudes with the same image, 'as sheep having no shepherd,' and comes as the Good Shepherd they lacked.

How we know: the verse itself names Him

• alludes to Numbers 27:17 — Moses prays that the congregation of the LORD be not as sheep which have no shepherd.
• alluded to by Matthew 9:36 — Jesus is moved with compassion because the multitudes are as sheep having no shepherd.
• alluded to by Mark 6:34 — Jesus has compassion on the people as sheep not having a shepherd.

Jehovah

Jehovah — 'I AM', the eternal, self-existent God

And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left. 1 Kings 22:19

Micaiah sees Jehovah enthroned over the heavenly council. Ahab's schemes and his many false prophets cannot overrule what the Lord on the throne has decreed.

Jehovah

And one washed the chariot in the pool of Samaria; and the dogs licked up his blood; and they washed his armour; according unto the word of the LORD which he spake. 1 Kings 22:38

Ahab's disguise could not stop what Jehovah had spoken through Elijah. His word is always fulfilled.
