God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob

For the fulness of mine intent is that I may persuade men to come unto the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, and be saved. 1 Nephi 6:4

Nephi's whole reason for writing is to bring people to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob so they can be saved. In 1 Nephi 19 he explains that this same God would come as a man and be crucified, so his mission statement is really "come unto Christ."

• the same title in Exodus 3:6 — From the burning bush Jehovah names Himself the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.
