Preserved Seed of David

And when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the seed royal. 2 Kings 11:1–3

When a wicked ruler tries to kill every royal heir, one baby of David's line is secretly saved. That keeps alive the family line the Messiah would be born into. It echoes the baby Jesus being protected from Herod's slaughter.

The Anointed King

Messiah — the Anointed One

And he brought forth the king’s son, and put the crown upon him, and gave him the testimony; and they made him king, and anointed him; and they clapped their hands, and said, God save the king. 2 Kings 11:12

The hidden son of David is revealed in the temple, crowned, given the testimony (the law), and anointed. 'Messiah' and 'Christ' both mean 'anointed', so every anointed king of David's line quietly pointed to the true anointed King.

Jehovah

Jehovah (LORD) — the covenant name, 'I AM'

And Jehoiada made a covenant between the LORD and the king and the people, that they should be the LORD’s people; between the king also and the people. 2 Kings 11:17

The people renew their covenant to be Jehovah's people. Jehovah is Jesus Christ, so this is the same covenant idea as becoming His people by taking His name upon us.
