Power over death (raising the dead)

He went in therefore, and shut the door upon them twain, and prayed unto the LORD. 2 Kings 4:33–35

Through prayer to the LORD, Elisha brings a dead boy back to life and gives him back to his mother. It foreshadows Jesus, who raised a widow's son at Nain, a village near Shunem, and whose own Resurrection breaks death's hold on everyone.

Bread of Life

And there came a man from Baalshalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley, and full ears of corn in the husk thereof. And he said, Give unto the people, that they may eat. 2 Kings 4:42–44

A servant doubts that a few barley loaves can feed a hundred men, but by the LORD's word they all eat and food is left over. Jesus did the same thing on a greater scale with five barley loaves, then taught that He Himself is the bread of life.
