Redeemer

And he also testified unto the people that all mankind should be saved at the last day, and that they need not fear nor tremble, but that they might lift up their heads and rejoice; for the Lord had created all men, and had also redeemed all men; and, in the end, all men should have eternal life. Alma 1:4

Nehor speaks of the Lord as Creator and Redeemer, but twists the doctrine: he claims everyone is saved no matter what. Christ does redeem all from physical death, but He saves from sin only those who repent, so this verse shows how false teachers bend true doctrine about the Savior.

Taking the Name of Christ

Christ — the Anointed One

But it came to pass that whosoever did not belong to the church of God began to persecute those that did belong to the church of God, and had taken upon them the name of Christ. Alma 1:19

Church members had covenanted to take Christ's name upon them, and they were persecuted for it. Belonging to His church meant bearing His name.

Christ's Free Invitation

Yea, they did persecute them, and afflict them with all manner of words, and this because of their humility; because they were not proud in their own eyes, and because they did impart the word of God, one with another, without money and without price. Alma 1:20

The phrase 'without money and without price' echoes the Savior's invitation for all to come and receive His salvation freely. The faithful shared His word the way He offers it: free, in contrast to Nehor's paid priestcraft.
