The salvation and arm of God

Therefore, dearly beloved brethren, let us cheerfully do all things that lie in our power; and then may we stand still, with the utmost assurance, to see the salvation of God, and for his arm to be revealed. Doctrine and Covenants 123:17

The words echo Moses at the Red Sea and Isaiah's prophecy that the arm of the Lord would be revealed, which Isaiah 53 connects to the suffering Messiah. After doing all they can, the Saints trust God to bring salvation, which comes through Jesus Christ.
