Mighty One of Israel

Mighty One of Israel — Israel's strong God and Protector

Thus saith the Lord God, the Mighty One of Israel: Behold, I say unto you, my servant Edward, that you are blessed, and your sins are forgiven you, and you are called to preach my gospel as with the voice of a trump; Doctrine and Covenants 36:1

Isaiah's title for Jehovah is used by the speaker who in v. 8 says He is Jesus Christ, showing the Mighty One of Israel is the Savior.

Jesus Christ acting through His servants

And I will lay my hand upon you by the hand of my servant Sidney Rigdon, and you shall receive my Spirit, the Holy Ghost, even the Comforter, which shall teach you the peaceable things of the kingdom; Doctrine and Covenants 36:2

When an authorized servant lays on hands, it is Christ's own hand acting; the gift of the Holy Ghost comes from Him.

Hosanna

Hosanna — 'save now, we pray'

And you shall declare it with a loud voice, saying: Hosanna, blessed be the name of the most high God. Doctrine and Covenants 36:3

The shout of Hosanna greeted Jesus at His triumphal entry; here missionaries cry it in praise of the Most High God.

Jesus Christ

Jesus — Jehovah saves; Christ — the Anointed One

I am Jesus Christ, the Son of God; wherefore, gird up your loins and I will suddenly come to my temple. Even so. Amen. Doctrine and Covenants 36:8

The Savior identifies Himself as the speaker of the revelation.

Son of God

The Lord who suddenly comes to His temple

Christ claims Malachi's prophecy for Himself: He is the Lord who will suddenly come to His temple, which He did in the Kirtland Temple and will do at His Second Coming.
