Ezekiel 13

Rock

Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered morter: Ezekiel 13:10–14

False prophets build hope on a weak, whitewashed wall that collapses in the storm until its foundation is exposed. Jesus and Helaman use the same picture in reverse: only a life built on the Redeemer as its foundation stands when the rain, winds, and hail come.

Jehovah

Jehovah (LORD) — "I AM", the covenant God of Israel

Your kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know that I am the LORD. Ezekiel 13:21–23

Jehovah, the premortal Christ, calls Israel "my people" and promises to free them from those who prey on souls with lies. Rescuing His people from deception is the work of the Deliverer, and it proves who He is.

How we know: the verse itself names Him
