Jacob receives the father’s blessing while wearing the elder brother’s garments (verse 15). Some teachers see this as a picture of how we receive the Father’s blessings clothed in Christ, the Firstborn. This is a traditional reading, not stated in the text, and Jacob’s deception is not the point of it.
