O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? Galatians 3:1
Paul had preached Christ's Crucifixion so vividly that it was as if the Galatians had seen it. Turning back to the law ignores what they already know about His sacrifice.

And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. Galatians 3:8
God preached the gospel to Abraham long before Christ's birth, promising that all nations would be blessed through him. That blessing comes through Christ, Abraham's promised Seed (verse 16).

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: Galatians 3:13
Christ took upon Himself the curse that fell on those who break the law, dying on the cross (the "tree") in our place. Paul reads the law of Moses as pointing to how Christ would die.

That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Galatians 3:14
The blessings promised to Abraham reach the Gentiles through Jesus Christ. He is how the whole world receives Abraham's covenant.

Seed — the one promised descendant through whom the covenant is fulfilled
Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. Galatians 3:16
Paul explains that the promise to Abraham's "seed" pointed to one person above all: Christ. This verse is a key for reading the Abrahamic promises in Genesis as prophecies of the Savior.

And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. Galatians 3:17
The covenant with Abraham was confirmed in Christ centuries before the law of Moses, so the later law cannot cancel it.

Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. Galatians 3:19
The law of Moses was added only until the promised Seed, Christ (verse 16), should come. The law was temporary preparation for Him.

The mediator of the law at Sinai was Moses, who stood between God and Israel. His role foreshadowed Christ, the one Mediator of the new covenant. The Joseph Smith Translation of this verse distinguishes that mediator from Christ, so this is only a soft type.

But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. Galatians 3:22
Everyone is shut up under sin so that the promise can come through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.

Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. Galatians 3:24
The law of Moses was like a tutor that guided Israel until they could come to Christ. Its whole purpose was to lead people to Him.

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26
Faith in Christ Jesus makes people children of God and heirs of His promises.

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Galatians 3:27
At baptism disciples "put on" Christ like a garment, taking His name and identity upon themselves by covenant.

In Christ, differences of nationality, social class, and gender do not divide His covenant people. All are one in Him.

And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. Galatians 3:29
Because Christ is the Seed of Abraham, all who belong to Christ become Abraham's seed too and inherit his promises.
