Atonement (Judah's substitution as a type)
For thy servant became surety for the lad unto my father, saying, If I bring him not unto thee, then I shall bear the blame to my father for ever. Genesis 44:32–34
Judah, who once helped sell Joseph, now offers to become a slave in Benjamin's place so the boy can return home to their father. This substitution points to Jesus, born of Judah's line, who stood in our place and took the penalty so we could return to our Father.
