In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah came this word from the LORD, saying, Jeremiah 26:1–4
Jehovah, the premortal Christ, commands Jeremiah to preach every word in the temple court, offering repentance before judgment.

Now it came to pass, when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking all that the LORD had commanded him to speak unto all the people, that the priests and the prophets and all the people took him, saying, Thou shalt surely die. Jeremiah 26:8–16
Jeremiah is seized for prophesying the temple's destruction, condemned by priests as deserving death, warns of innocent blood, and is found blameless by the rulers. Centuries later Jesus also foretold the temple's fall, was condemned by the priests as 'guilty of death,' declared faultless by Pilate, and the people took His innocent blood upon themselves.
