Jehovah Who Calls
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Go and tell the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, Will ye not receive instruction to hearken to my words? saith the LORD. Jeremiah 35:13–17
The LORD of hosts describes Himself as tirelessly calling His people through prophets, like someone getting up early day after day, though they will not answer. It is the patient voice of the premortal Christ pleading with Israel.
