Job as a type of the suffering Christ
And now am I their song, yea, I am their byword. Job 30:9–10
Once honored, Job is now mocked and spat upon by those beneath him. The Savior was likewise mocked and spat upon, and Job's patient endurance points to the One who suffered more than all.
