Jehovah the Deliverer

And when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised up a deliverer to the children of Israel, who delivered them, even Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb’s younger brother. Judges 3:9–10

When Israel cries out, Jehovah, the premortal Jesus Christ, hears and raises up a deliverer. Othniel wins only because the LORD delivers the enemy into his hand, a small picture of how Christ is the real Deliverer behind every rescue.

Jehovah the Deliverer

But when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised them up a deliverer, Ehud the son of Gera, a Benjamite, a man lefthanded: and by him the children of Israel sent a present unto Eglon the king of Moab. Judges 3:15

The pattern repeats: the people cry unto the LORD and He again provides a deliverer. Jehovah's willingness to rescue a people who keep turning away shows the same mercy Jesus Christ extends to us.
