The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7

Wisdom personified

Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets: Proverbs 1:20–33

Wisdom is pictured as a person who calls in public, offers her spirit, stretches out her hand to those who refuse, and promises safety to those who listen. Many Christians read this as a picture of Christ, whom Paul calls 'the wisdom of God,' pleading with the world.
