Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother, 1 Corinthians 1:1
Paul identifies himself as a special witness sent by Jesus Christ.

Saints are made holy through Christ and are those who call on His name. In the Old Testament, people called on the name of the LORD (Jehovah); Paul now speaks of calling on the name of Jesus Christ.

The Saints wait for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, who will keep them strong so they can stand blameless on His day. The Old Testament 'day of the LORD' becomes 'the day of our Lord Jesus Christ'.

God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:9

For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 1 Corinthians 1:19
Paul quotes the LORD's words in Isaiah, spoken where He promises a marvelous work that would humble the wisdom of the worldly wise.
But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; 1 Corinthians 1:23
The center of Paul's preaching is Christ crucified. Many Jews stumbled over a crucified Messiah, just as Isaiah had said the LORD would be a stone of stumbling.

Power and Wisdom of God — Christ is God's saving power and plan in person
But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. 1 Corinthians 1:24
To those who accept the call, Christ Himself is God's power and God's wisdom.

Christ — the Anointed One (Greek for the Hebrew Messiah)
But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 1 Corinthians 1:30
Everything we lack, Christ becomes for us: our wisdom, our righteousness, the power that makes us holy, and our redemption.

Jehovah — the covenant name, rendered LORD
That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:31
Quoting Jeremiah, Paul says any boasting should be in the LORD; in context he means glorying in Christ, who is made everything to us.
