The foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the LORD. Proverbs 19:3
People ruin their own way through folly and then blame and resent Jehovah, the premortal Christ.
How we know: Jehovah is the premortal Christ (Abraham 1:16; D&C 110:3–4)

House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the LORD. Proverbs 19:14
A wise spouse is a gift from Jehovah, the premortal Christ.

Kindness to the poor is counted as a gift to the LORD Himself, and He repays it. Jesus taught the same thing: what we do for the least of His brethren, we do for Him.
