Jehovah — the LORD, the covenant name of the premortal Christ
But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. Psalms 13:5–6
In the middle of sorrow David chooses to trust the LORD's mercy and rejoice in His salvation. Jehovah's salvation came in person when Jesus was born, whom Simeon called God's salvation.
