Jehovah — the premortal Jesus Christ, the covenant God of Israel
O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me. Psalms 139:1–12
Jehovah, the premortal Christ, knows every thought and path; no darkness or distance hides anyone from Him.
How we know: Jehovah is the premortal Christ (Abraham 1:16; D&C 110:3–4)
If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. Psalms 139:8
There is no depth His presence cannot reach. Latter-day Saints may hear an echo of the Savior who descended below all things so that He can reach anyone, even in the lowest place.
For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. Psalms 139:13–16
The LORD who made the heavens also formed each person in the womb and knew them before their body existed.
