Psalms 37

Jehovah

Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Psalms 37:3–5

The call to trust and commit one's way to the LORD is a call to trust Jehovah, the premortal Christ, who brings His promises to pass.

How we know: Jehovah is the premortal Christ (Abraham 1:16; D&C 110:3–4)

The Meek Inherit the Earth

But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. Psalms 37:11

Jesus repeated this line in His sermon in Galilee and again to the Nephites, making it one of His Beatitudes. Latter-day revelation ties it to the redemption that comes through Him.

Savior

But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble. Psalms 37:39–40

Salvation comes from the LORD, who helps, delivers and saves those who trust Him. Latter-day Saints know Jehovah as the Savior, Jesus Christ.
