Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away. Psalms 65:3

Only God can purge away sins. That cleansing comes through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

The God who stills the roaring sea is the one who, as Jesus, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, Peace, be still. His power over the storm showed He is Jehovah in the flesh.
