Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah. Psalms 85:2–3
The LORD forgives and 'covers' sin and turns away His wrath. Covering sin is the idea behind the word atonement, and all such forgiveness comes through Jesus Christ's Atonement.
Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation. Psalms 85:7–9
The people ask Jehovah for mercy and salvation and trust that He will speak peace. Jehovah is the premortal Christ, the Savior whose own name, Jesus, means 'Jehovah saves,' and who gives His peace to His people.

Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. Psalms 85:10–13
Mercy and truth, righteousness and peace, meet and embrace. That happens in Jesus Christ, whose Atonement satisfies justice and extends mercy. The Lord told Enoch that truth would come out of the earth and righteousness down from heaven to bear testimony of His Only Begotten, which Latter-day Saints connect with the Book of Mormon and the Restoration.
