Jehovah

LORD (Jehovah) — the covenant name, "I AM" / He who is

And Jehozadak went into captivity, when the LORD carried away Judah and Jerusalem by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar. 1 Chronicles 6:15

The chronicler says it was the LORD, Jehovah, who sent Judah into captivity, using Babylon as His instrument. Jehovah is the premortal Jesus Christ, the covenant God who disciplines His people.

And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the LORD, after that the ark had rest. 1 Chronicles 6:31–32

The Levite singers were set to worship in the house of the LORD, where Jehovah's presence rested over the ark. The Lord later taught that "the song of the righteous is a prayer unto me."

Priestly sacrifice and atonement

But Aaron and his sons offered upon the altar of the burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, and were appointed for all the work of the place most holy, and to make an atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded. 1 Chronicles 6:49

The burnt offerings, the incense, and the high priest's work in the most holy place all pointed to Jesus Christ. He is the great High Priest who made the real Atonement for all people with His own blood and entered the true holy place.

City of refuge

And to the sons of Aaron they gave the cities of Judah, namely, Hebron, the city of refuge, and Libnah with her suburbs, and Jattir, and Eshtemoa, with their suburbs, 1 Chronicles 6:57

A city of refuge was where someone who killed by accident could flee and be safe from the avenger. Christians have long taught it as a type of Christ, where sinners flee for safety and mercy (Shechem is named as another in verse 67).
