Peace for ever on David's seed and throne

Their blood shall therefore return upon the head of Joab, and upon the head of his seed for ever: but upon David, and upon his seed, and upon his house, and upon his throne, shall there be peace for ever from the LORD. 1 Kings 2:33

Solomon declares peace forever from the LORD on David's seed and throne. Solomon's kingdom soon split, so this forever promise comes true only in Jesus Christ, David's seed and the Prince of Peace.

The throne of David established for ever

And king Solomon shall be blessed, and the throne of David shall be established before the LORD for ever. 1 Kings 2:45

Solomon repeats God's promise that David's throne will stand forever. Earthly kings of David's line ended, so the promise is fulfilled in Jesus Christ, who reigns on David's throne without end.
