Jehovah appears to Solomon

Jehovah — the covenant God of Israel, the premortal Christ

In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee. 1 Kings 3:5–14

The LORD, Jehovah, the premortal Jesus Christ, appears to Solomon in a dream, invites him to ask, and generously gives wisdom plus more than he asked. It shows the Lord's readiness to give to those who ask with the right desires.

How we know: Jehovah is the premortal Christ (Abraham 1:16; D&C 110:3–4)

Solomon the wise judge

And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king: for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him, to do judgment. 1 Kings 3:28

Solomon sees into the true mother's heart and judges rightly because the wisdom of God is in him. He foreshadows Jesus Christ, who knows every heart perfectly and will judge with perfect righteousness; Jesus called Himself greater than Solomon.
