If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; 1 Timothy 6:3
True doctrine is measured by the words of Jesus Christ; teachers who reject them go astray.

At His trial Jesus boldly testified who He was, knowing it would lead to His death. Timothy is to be just as faithful.

In his own time God will show forth Christ's appearing. The titles King of kings and Lord of lords are given to Christ in Revelation, though here the one who dwells in unapproachable light may be the Father.
