Revelation 19

Bridegroom

Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. Revelation 19:7–9

Christ is the Bridegroom and His covenant people are the bride, dressed in the fine linen of righteous living. The marriage supper celebrates His coming to unite fully with His prepared people.

Jesus

Jesus — 'Jehovah saves'

And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Revelation 19:10

The angel refuses John's worship and teaches that the heart of all true prophecy is a testimony of Jesus. Every true prophet, ancient or modern, is a witness of Christ.

Faithful and True

Faithful and True — the One who always keeps His word and is the truth

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. Revelation 19:11–12

Heaven opens and Christ comes as a conquering King on a white horse. He is called Faithful and True because He keeps every promise, and He judges in perfect righteousness.

Second Coming

And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. Revelation 19:13

Christ comes wearing a robe dipped in blood. Isaiah and D&C 133 show the Lord at His coming in red garments, and His red robe also recalls the blood He shed for the world.

The Word

The Word of God — the One through whom God speaks, creates, and reveals Himself

And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. Revelation 19:13

The Rider's name is The Word of God, the same title John gives Christ at the start of his Gospel. Christ is the Father's perfect message and messenger.

Second Coming

Christ conquers by His word, the sword from His mouth, rules with unbending authority, and alone treads the winepress of judgment on the wicked.

King of Kings

King of kings, Lord of lords — the supreme ruler over every earthly king and lord

And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. Revelation 19:16

Christ's supreme title is written openly on His robe: He is King over all kings and Lord over all lords.

Second Coming

And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. Revelation 19:19–21

The beast and the kings of the earth gather to fight Christ, but He captures the beast and false prophet and overcomes the rest by the word of His mouth. Evil cannot stand against Him at His coming.
