Sacrifice as a similitude of Christ

Behold, I build an house to the name of the LORD my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him sweet incense, and for the continual shewbread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts of the LORD our God. This is an ordinance for ever to Israel. 2 Chronicles 2:4–6

The temple Solomon plans is for continual offerings, morning and evening, to Jehovah. Those repeated sacrifices were a likeness of Christ's one great offering, which the letter to the Hebrews contrasts with the daily sacrifices of the priests.

Christ the Creator

Huram said moreover, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, that made heaven and earth, who hath given to David the king a wise son, endued with prudence and understanding, that might build an house for the LORD, and an house for his kingdom. 2 Chronicles 2:12

Even a foreign king blesses the LORD God of Israel as the maker of heaven and earth. Latter-day Saint scripture teaches that Jehovah, Jesus Christ, created the heavens and the earth under the Father's direction.

How we know: Jehovah is the premortal Christ (Abraham 1:16; D&C 110:3–4)
