Mount Moriah, place of the offering of Isaac

Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD at Jerusalem in mount Moriah, where the Lord appeared unto David his father, in the place that David had prepared in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite. 2 Chronicles 3:1

The temple of sacrifice is built on Mount Moriah, the land where Abraham offered Isaac, a similitude of the Father offering His Only Begotten Son. It is also where the Lord's angel stood and a plague was stayed by sacrifice, so the place itself testifies of the Atonement.

The veil of the temple

And he made the vail of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and wrought cherubims thereon. 2 Chronicles 3:14

The veil separated the most holy place, God's presence, from the rest of the house. The New Testament teaches that the veil represents Christ's flesh: through His body and blood we pass into the presence of God, and the veil tore when He died.
