Jehovah, the God of Israel

Jehovah — the covenant God, the premortal Jesus Christ

Now it is in mine heart to make a covenant with the LORD God of Israel, that his fierce wrath may turn away from us. 2 Chronicles 29:10

Hezekiah renews covenant with the LORD God of Israel, who is Jehovah, the premortal Jesus Christ. Returning to covenant with Him is how the people are spared.

How we know: the chapter heading names Him

Sacrifice as similitude of the Only Begotten

And they brought seven bullocks, and seven rams, and seven lambs, and seven he goats, for a sin offering for the kingdom, and for the sanctuary, and for Judah. And he commanded the priests the sons of Aaron to offer them on the altar of the LORD. 2 Chronicles 29:21–24

Innocent animals are killed as a sin offering, and their blood makes reconciliation and 'an atonement for all Israel.' Every part points to Jesus Christ, whose own blood reconciles us to God and atones for all.

Sacrifice as similitude of the Only Begotten

And Hezekiah commanded to offer the burnt offering upon the altar. And when the burnt offering began, the song of the LORD began also with the trumpets, and with the instruments ordained by David king of Israel. 2 Chronicles 29:27–28

Worship and song begin with the offering and continue until it is 'finished.' This softly echoes the praise sung to the Lamb who was slain, and Christ's own 'It is finished.'
